The accident occurred on Friday, July 15 at approximately 4:50 p.m. A box truck driven by a 45-year-old man hit an SUV driven by a 26-year- old. This collision caused the SUV to run into a sedan, which was pushed into the center divider as a result. While the SUV veered to the right into another lane, the box truck then struck the sedan, which caused it to, in turn, strike a third vehicle (an SUV).
This collision caused the sedan to effectively fold in half, which killed both the driver and passenger of the sedan. The box truck continued on, pushing the sedan and second SUV until the SUV rolled over onto its side. The final wreck happened when the first SUV was broadsided by another sedan driven by a 36-year-old-woman. According to police, the motorists in the box truck and the first SUV were both taken to a nearby medical center with minor injuries.
