Founder and Principal William L. Veen has been selected by Consumer Attorneys of America (CAOC) as the recipient of the 2018 Robert E. Cartwright, Sr. Award for his excellence in trial advocacy, and dedication to teaching fellow lawyers and the public. CAOC will honor him at the annual convention during the awards dinner on November 17, 2018.
Since founding The Veen Firm, P.C. in 1975, Mr. Veen has grown the firm from a one-man operation to more than 20 members today. He has spent the last four decades representing thousands of catastrophically injured plaintiffs in complex cases involving construction accidents, auto accidents, defective products and professional liability. Through his ongoing work, he has advocated on behalf of injured employees, farm laborers, construction workers and immigrants who have been wronged by the system.
Mr. Veen’s legal involvement extends far beyond the courtroom, as he frequently lectures at conferences and seminars, mentoring attorneys on developing their trial, business development and leadership skills. The Robert E. Cartwright, Sr. Award specifically recognizes attorneys who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment not only to trying cases, but to mentoring and educating other attorneys in trial advocacy.
